A trilateral agreement has been signed by Suryodaya Urja P. Ltd. ,Jysk Lands Byudvikling i Nepal, and Consumer's Committee of Drinking Water for a Solar Photovoltaic Pumping System to be installed at two sites of Madi, Chitwan. More than two thousand villagers of Ayodhyapuri and Indrabasti will be directly benifitted by this project. As per the design, 21,000 liters of Pure Drinking Water will be lifted per day  from the bore hole to a  Distribution tank located 50m high(vertical). From where the water will be delivered to the villagers through distribution system including tap post.

GRUNDFOS solar pumps has been used for the pumping purpose. GRUNDFOS is one of the world's leading manufacturer of Solar Pumps. Mr. Jens Frederiksen, Regional Manager of Grundfos( Thailand) Limited and Ms. Leona from Jysk i Nepal, assured a contiual support for the Solar pumping system. Mr. Ram B. Bhandari, Managing Director and Mr. Nabin Bhujel, Director of Suryodaya Urja reassured the timely completion of project and promised the efficient after sales services to the villagers.

This project aims to strengthen the public health at the site by providing pure drinking water. The project is now under construction after finishing detail feasibility study at the site. It is planned to hand over this system to respective drinking water consumer's committee by the end of 2012.
